حمله نیروهای پلیس به تظاهرکنندگان برای حقوق زنان

(پانزدهم ژوئن، ٢٠٠٦)- سازمان دیده بان حقوق بشر امروز گزارش داد که دولت ایران باید درخصوص ضرب وشتم صدها فعالان حقوق زنان در تجمع مسالمت آمیز روز دوشنبه تحقیق به عمل آورد. این سازمان از دولت خواسته است افرادی که درحمله پلیس به تظاهرکنندگان بازداشت شده اند را آزاد کند.

شاهدان عینی به دیده بان حقوق بشر گفتند ماموران امنیتی و پلیس ساعت ها قبل از آغاز این تجمع مسالمت آمیز که برای روز دوشنبه ١٢ ژوئن برنامه ریزی شده بود، در میدان هفتم تیر به انتظارنشسته بودند. به محض آنکه تظاهر کنندگان دور هم جمع شدند، ماموران امنیتی به سرعت با باتوم شروع به ضرب وشتم انها کردند، از گاز فلفل استفاده نمودند، به آنها اسپری رنگی پاشیدند و آنها را بازداشت کردند.

"سارا لیاویتسون" مدیربخش خاورمیانه وشمال آفریقای سازمان دیده بان حقوق بشردرهمین زمینه گفت: "دولت ایران بار دیگرحداعلای بی احترامی به آزادی های اولیه از جمله حق تجمعات مسالمت آمیز رااز خود نشان داد."
وی افزود: " مسئولین ایران باید افراد بازداشت شده را فورا آزاد کند وبگویند چه کسانی در خشونت پلیس علیه اجتماع کنندگان نقش داشته اند. "

روز سه شنبه، جمال کریمی راد، سخنگوی قوه قضاییه، تایید کرد که نیروهای امنیتی ٧٠ نفر از جمله ٤٢ زن و ٢٨ مرد را برای جلوگیری از برگزاری تجمع یاد شده دستگیر کرده‌اند. به گفته وی قوه قضاییه اتهام افراد یاد شده را "شرکت درتجمع غیرقانونی" خوانده‌اند.

یکی از شاهدان عینی به "دیده بان حقوق بشر" گفته است که دولت برای اولین بار از نیروهای پلیس زن برای دستگیری تظاهر کنندگان زن استفاده کرد درحالی که پلیس های مرد، به دستگیری مردان شرکت کننده پرداختند. به گفته این شاهد عینی، کسانی که ازنزدیک صحنه های یاد شده را مشاهده می کردند از واکنش خشونت آمیز پلیس علیه تظاهرکنندگان شوکه شده بودند.

تجمع یاد شده به دنبال درخواست صدها مدافع حقوق زنان وفعالان حقوق بشربرای اصلاح قوانین در سیستم حقوقی ایران واز بین بردن مواد تبعیض آمیزدرمورد زنان برگزار شد.

پیش از این تظاهرات، قوه قضاییه تعدادزیادی از فعالان حقوق زنان را احضار ومورد بازجویی قرار داد. شنبه شب، ماموران امنیتی به خانه برخی از برجسته ترین فعالان اجتماعی ایرانی رفتندتا انها را جلب کنند. نوشین احمدی خراسانی، پروین اردلان، سوسن طهمباسبی، زهره ارزنی وفریبا داوودی مهاجر از جمله احضار شدگان هستند. داوودی مهاجر تنها کسی بود که حکم احضار راشخصا دریافت کرد.روز دوشنبه، ماموران شعبه ١٤ دادگاه انقلاب او را برای مدت ١٠ ساعت بازجویی کردند.

دوشنبه صبح نیز، ماموران امنیتی شهلا انتصاری دیگر فعال زنان را درمحل کارخود در تهران دستگیر کردند. دربین دستگیر شدگان نام علی اکبر موسوی خوینی ها، نماینده سابق مجلس، ژیلا بنی یعقوب، دلارام علی، سمیرا صدری، بهاره هدایت، لیلا محسنی، بهمن احمدی امویی، سیامک طاهری و فرحناز شریفی نیز به چشم می خورد.

سازمان دیده بان حقوق بشر، از دولت ایران خواسته است تا همه بازداشت شدگان را فورا آزاد کند، به ارعاب واذیت وآزار فعالان اجتماعی خاتمه دهد، به تعهدات بین المللی خود پایبند بماند، به آزادی تجمعات احترام بگذارد و از اعمال خشونت توسط نیروهای انتظامی جلوگیری و متخلفین را مجازات کند.

Iran: Police Assault Women’s Rights Demonstrators

(New York, June 15, 2006) – Iran must investigate the police beating of hundreds of women’s rights activists during a peaceful demonstration in Tehran on Monday, Human Rights Watch said today. The organization called on the government to release those detained after the police attack on protestors.

Eyewitnesses told Human Rights Watch that police and intelligence agents lined Haft Tir Square in downtown Tehran hours before the start of the planned demonstration on June 12. As the demonstrators assembled, the security forces immediately started to beat them with batons, sprayed them with pepper gas, marked the demonstrators with color spray, and took scores into custody.

“The Iranian government has again shown its utter contempt for basic freedoms like the right to peaceful assembly,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, director of the Middle East and North Africa division of Human Rights Watch. “The authorities should free those arrested at once and find out who’s behind the police violence.”

On Tuesday, Jamal Karimirad, a spokesman for the Judiciary, confirmed that security forces arrested 70 people – 42 women and 28 men – to prevent the demonstration from taking place. He said the Judiciary is charging the detainees with “participation in an illegal assembly.”

An eyewitness told Human Rights Watch that, for what is thought to be the first time, the government transported policewomen to the demonstration to arrest female demonstrators while policemen dealt with male protestors.

“Female police officers ruthlessly beat demonstrators with their batons and took many into police vans for detention,” this witness said. “Bystanders were shocked at how harshly the police reacted to demonstrators.”

The demonstration followed a call last week by hundreds of women’s rights activists and human rights defenders to demand reforms in Iran’s legal code and remove discriminatory clauses against women.

Prior to the demonstration, the Judiciary summoned and interrogated numerous women's rights activists. On Saturday night, agents of the Judiciary went to the homes of prominent activists to issue summons. Those summoned include Noushin Ahmadi Khorasani, Parvin Ardalan, Sussan Tahmasebi, Zohreh Arzani, and Fariba Davoodi Mohajer. Davoodi Mohajer was the only one who received the summons in person. On Monday, Judiciary agents at the Branch 14 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran interrogated her for 10 hours.

Also on Monday morning, security forces arrested another activist, Shahla Entessari, at her workplace in Tehran. Among those arrested at the demonstration are Ali Akbar Mousavi Khoiniha, a former member of the parliament, Jila Baniyaghoub, Delaram Ali, Samira Sadri, Bahareh Hedayat, Leila Mohseni, Bahman Ahmadi Amooi, Siamak Taheri, and Farahnaz Sharifi.

Human Rights Watch called on the government to release all detainees without delay, end its harassment and intimidation of activists, and abide by its international obligations to respect freedom of assembly, and to prevent and punish police brutality.
